The traditional definition of tolerance means to "endure" or put up with something, such as a person´s behavior, attitudes or beliefs, without necessarily agreeing with them. The "new tolerance," however, asks us to accept the behavior, too! Though Christians can´t compromise with sin, we can love the sinner through Christ. This can make the difference in whether or not he later accepts Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. Remember, you are the only Bible some people will ever read!
