January 17, 2003, Newsletter Issue #82: Where Is Mr. Right?

Tip of the Week

Answer: Wow, with that much on your plate, when do you eat or sleep? Have you considered that instead of something being wrong with you, God could be protecting you from the involvement of a new relationship just now while you complete some immediate goals?

I understand you are carrying a heavy load and must feel lonely with the weight of it, but dating right now might make your life more complicated rather than making it better. For one thing, those teens need you to "be there" for them for the next 5 years or so. That really isn`t a very long time, and at their age they probably would resent any competition for your time and affection. There will be plenty of time for you and Mr. Right a bit later. For now, put the Lord first, your children second, and let God work the other things out in his own time.

Here are some promises from God`s Word that you can depend on: "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." Psalm 37:4-5 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
