Life’s surprises and daily situations are ideal teaching tools to convey biblical concepts to our children, as most lessons that stick are better “caught” than just “taught.” For example, a father teaches his child honesty when he returns the extra $10 the cashier gave him by mistake. He can reinforce the lesson by discussing it with the child, then reading a Bible verse that teaches honesty. “But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little…” Isaiah 28:13
