The Red Apple--An Allegory On Trust
by Louise Norman

"Oh, what a beautiful red apple!" the young lady exclaimed, rubbing her hungry stomach. She gave the storekeeper her last coin and headed home.

Along the way, God met her and asked for the apple. "But, God, it`s MY apple!" she protested. "Besides, I`m real bad hungry!"

"Trust me, Child," God answered, and again asked for the apple. Again, she refused. Later, with stomach rumbling, she sighed sadly and handed her apple to God.

Then God smiled and handed it back to her -- only now the apple had become a delicious pie.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
