Tip of the Week

In my younger housekeeping days, I got tired of mopping and waxing our tile floor. I wanted carpet like everybody else had. (As you know, EVERYBODY usually means the one or two people we envy.) I was in the middle of a self-pity party when the Lord reminded me that at least I had a warm place to live and sleep, I had enough to eat, and I had a family who loved me. If I couldn`t be thankful, I didn`t deserve even that!

I sat down and wrote a short poem I titled "Revelation." I sent it off to a small denominational publication and it was accepted on its first time out! I even got paid for it -- a couple of dollars, as I recall. (Ahem… By the way, my poem was on the FRONT COVER of the little 12-page magazine! Brag…brag… :o) That`s been more than 30 years ago, but it still speaks to my heart today, and I hope it will to yours. You can read my "famous" poem at this link:
