December 7, 2001, Newsletter Issue #24: Twice-Blessed Christmas Cards

Tip of the Week

Here are some other things you can do with Christmas cards:

1.) During December, open one with the family at mealtime, or anytime the family is together, and pray for the one(s) that sent it.

2.) After Christmas, put them in a box and pull one or more out each week during family devotions. If you don`t have 52, add families to the list who are sick or in the hospital that week If you have more than 52, use two some nights.

3.) Family members can take turns writing the senders a note to let them know you are thinking of them and praying for them. This would be especially good for those who are invalids, widowed, or live alone who may not get much, if any, personal mail.

4.) Give them to a Sunday School teacher or other children`s leader who can use them for a class project.

5.) Cut apart those that have a blank inside front and a smooth finish. Recycle as post cards. (You may want to send these to the ones who originally sent the cards to you.)
