More Time In Your Day

Have you taken time to gear down and reflect on the Reason for the Season? If not, why not take a few deep breaths -- right now – and thank God for sending his Son to save us from sin and for giving us the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us. Better yet, make a cup of hot chocolate, herbal tea, or whatever it is you like when in a reflective mood, and spend at least 30 minutes at the feet of the Saviour. (Don`t even read the rest of this newsletter if you must choose one or the other.) You will be amazed at how much MORE you will get done in the time you have left today. If you really have a lot to do between now and Christmas, you should consider starting every day this way. By Jan. 1, you will have formed a habit that will "gain" you daily time and yield calmer days throughout the new year. (This is a PTP Tip – Personally Tried and Proven over many years.)

I Couldn`t Find the Time

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They`d laugh at me I`d fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"
